Evelyn Brown Willis, 79, Senoia, died May 21, 2009. She was born Nov. 14, 1929 in Turin, Coweta County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Brown Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther J. Willis, whom she married Feb. 6, 1971. She was a member of the China Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir, served on the Mother Board and was a member of Young at Heart. She became a foster parent for Coweta County in 1991 and opened her home and heart to several needy children, one of whom she later adopted.

Services were at the China Grove Baptist Church, Turin, with the Rev. Harold Kilgour officiating. Interment was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Survivors include her adopted son, Terrez Willis; a sister, Jackie and Eddie Perkins, Newnan; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Brown, Ruthie Reid, Molly Freeman, and Dorothy Brown, all of Senoia, and Dorothy Brown, Luthersville; brothers-in-law, Benjamin Willis and Levi Willis, both of Senoia; nephew, Tony Brown, Luthersville; and special cousin, Lucille Jackson, Chicago. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
