Booth presents “Seussical Jr.”

J.C. Booth Middle School will perform “Seussical, Jr.” at the McIntosh High School auditorium on Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27.

Based on the writings of Dr. Seuss, “Seussical Jr.” seamlessly weaves your favorite Dr. Seuss tales together with an upbeat score that’s sure to please audiences of all ages. All your favorite Dr. Seuss characters are on stage. Over 40 young singers, dancers, and actors bring the Cat in the Hat, Horton, the Whos, the Grinch, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and the Jungle of Nool Animals alive.

“I am amazed at the level of talent I have to work with. You don’t want to miss this group of actors and singers,” said Director Jo Beth Brady. Assisting brady are producer Rachel Green and stage manager Anna Hale.

Just imagine a world where anything is possible: an elephant up in a tree, a person too tiny to see, a heroic child and dreams running wild! Come to a magical place where helping a friend, never giving up, and keeping a promise come alive in this witty, wild and wonderful tale that will delight the young and young at heart.

“Seussical Jr.” will be performed at 5 and 7:30 p.m. both Thursday and Friday. Tickets are available at the J.C. Booth Middle School office and at the door prior to each performance. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and students.
