Esther Mae Moseley

Esther Mae "Essie" Moseley, Peachtree City, died Feb. 12, 2009. She was the second youngest of 13 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Pauline Baer, and her husband, Luke Moseley in 1992. They had met at American Airlines, where she was a stewardess and he was a pilot. They married in 1947. After graduation from Peoria High School in Peoria, Ill., she entered nursing school. In 1943 she entered the Army Air Corps as a flight nurse and served with the 349th Air Evacuation Unit and the 803rd Air Evacuation Squadron. She was a member of the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home from 5 pm. to 7 p.m. Memorial services will be Friday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m., at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Miller officiating. Survivors include her children, Thomas and Linda Moseley, Woodstock, Cindy Moseley, Tallahassee, Fla., Robert and Shelia Moseley, Shelton, Conn., and Susan Moseley, Bow, N.H.; grandchildren, Jonathan Moseley, and Nathan Moseley, both of Woodstock, Kenny Moseley, Tallahassee, Fla., Luke Moseley, Shelton, Conn., and Ted Wyly of Bow, N.H. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
