James Roy McElwaney, Peachtree City died January 6, 2009. He was a member of Raymac Racing Team and Tyrone Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eual and Myrtis McElwaney and brothers J.L. McElwaney and Ray McElwaney and is survived by his wife, Inell McElwaney of Peachtree City; daughter Charlene Hansard and her husband Wayne of Tyrone; son Jason McElwaney of Peachtree City; grandchildren Levi McElwaney and Christian Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Tyrone First Baptist Church with remains lying in-state at 2 p.m. Rev. Farren Roper and Pastor Ron Whitlock officiating.
