Editorial Endorsementm for Barack Obama

DragNet's picture

Take a read to the editorial endorsement for Barack Obama by The New York Times. Great piece, I think we can rest our case for change.

nytimes.com

I hope someday our own Cal will learn to write with such clarity Smiling

Right wing blogger nuts and Republicans will do good to read this piece again and again and follow on the steps of Gen. Colin Powell, Scott McClellan, etc, etc.

Turn out the lights on the McCain campaign. Sarah Palin can't even win over the media in her home state.

"Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain.... Sen. McCain has stumbled and fumbled badly in dealing with the accelerating crisis as it emerged."

"Yet despite her (Palin's) formidable gifts, few who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth. To step in and juggle the demands of an economic meltdown, two deadly wars and a deteriorating climate crisis would stretch the governor beyond her range. Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time."

Putin to Joe Biden:"The United States has displayed an almost uncontained hyper use of force in international relations.Don't you think this is monopolistic dominance in global relations by the United States?"
Joe Biden to Putin; "Is this a joke ?"
As Biden leaves he says "And furthermore my wife isn't going to talk to you next,as planned."

BTW, you know why the Democrats in Louisiana bury their dead above ground...it's easier to get them to the polls on election day.

I'm curious. I believe it is important for the next president to be able to reach across aisles and garner bi-partisan support.

How many democrats have endorsed John McCain?

How many republicans have endorsed Barack Obama?

I bet that is a very telling statistic, don't you?

with assistance form pentapenguin.

1. Click on "Add Comment" or "reply"

2. Scroll to bottom of comment box and click on this link:

"More information about formatting options"

3. When you do, you will see this:

The Citizen's "TIPS" page

4. copy the section between "anchors are used to make links to other pages" and "The Citizen Online". This is in the top line under "You type"

5. When you have a web page to link or reference, put the information between the " " and erase the example (http://www.thecitizen.com/~citizen0) It is only there to show you where to put your page.

6. To finish, you can call the link whatever you want. The title you give your link goes between these > <. In the example, it has (The Citizen Online). I called my example above "The citizen "TIPS" page.

Hope this helps

Smiling

You know Diva at first I was going to be a smart arse like you but I decided not to!! I think you get the point of his question to me and he is not the only taker we have in our society. Some people are contributers and some are takers!! Today our society seems to be leaning a little more towards takers. When that happens society breaks down. GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!! It's the Ya'll owe me attitude!! Of course you know what I mean you just are ashamed to admit it!! And you should be!! Anyway to reply to all of your ridiculous comments. No American President in history has ever taken money from the wealthy and him (The President) decide on who (other people) recieves that money. There has always been taxes but that money is not generally distributed to people with their hand out!! FEEL ME!!!

As you notice Diva will try and make you upset. I don't get upset easily because I know what I have put up is the truth.

As far as making mistakes in seperating between what I post and tell the person I am talking to I didn't intend to do that, well winby1 I think Diva read it.

I say to lib's read me.

They only read what they want.

Maybe it's that Hannity post which they didn't have to read but just hear with.

Have a nice day.
