Sonnet On The Times

Banks and idiots have done us in you see,
In one short year, market from 15K to 8K.
Shoveling money to whomever as on a spree,
In the great hope that such will fears allay.

Such things done quietly two or three years ago,
Might have avoided panic, idiocy and fear
And handled professionally, reduced the blow.
Now I am afraid that our demise is near!

Sarah visited I-Hop, gleaning foreign know-how
But all she learned- no moose nuggets and jerky,
After hunting with Dick Cheney she took a bow
She showed her lack of fear of that dumb turkey.

So all we wait for now is the 20% unemployment,
And possibly the horror of another deployment!
