Haddix and Logsdon: Not much difference

A whole lot of people nag about Mayor Logsdon but what about their golden boy Don Haddix?

You can talk all you want about Harold's China trip and his business relations. Look at Don Haddix supporting a $9.9 million private recreation spree. He wants us to build a privately run sports complex on city land for none other than Dar Thompson.

Don't act so high and mighty Don Haddix!

I saw the 5-0 vote by the Council to say to put it to it on the ballot for a decision of the Citizens (and it was the right thing to do). I didn't see any outright endorsement of said Center by anyone on Council.

As I said elsewhere there was no endorsement of the facility, only it being on ballot as a referendum.

I obtained a copy of the resolution that was written after the meeting. There is only one Council signature on it, not five. Only one of us saw the final copy, not five.

There is a notation all five of us were present at the meeting where the referendum was discussed and voted on. This resolution is not accurate regarding that discussion.

Council Approves a Blank Check?

I find it incredible that the Council would sign a blank paper and turn it over for others to fill in. And it is equally incredible that you don’t follow up on what you have voted to approve. I expected you to have a paper in hand that night as the minutes from the meeting suggest: “Boone moved to approve the bond resolution…”

Mr. Haddix please tell me who was at the meeting when the referendum was discussed. And who voted to approve the final document.

Folks on this site are apt to go way overboard on issues. This is being discussed extensively on another thread, and they are turning on you like a pack of wolves. The Council did the right thing bringing this to the people.

I have surely tried to stay off this site, but I had to read the comments on the PTC recreation bonds.

I can't believe David Downing would even surface from the depths of his lies to post on this site. David kept telling us Harold Logsdon was going to reduce our taxes ... welcome to our world David Downing.

Maybe you should stay away for politics.
