What is the alternative to comcast in fayetteville?

This is more of a question than a blog but I have had it with comcast. Today they were supposed to come out and install phone so I would have the complete package. Cable, internet and phone all rolled together. The guy shows up at the very end of the time alotment ( we told them on the phone we had to leave for a wedding today) and what was supposed to take 30 minutes now they say would take more like 2 hours. He didn't even know why he was at the house he thought he was supposed to look at the phone. Why would you look at the phone? Anyways I want to hear who you have experience with that does a good job. My wife is in sales and works from home a lot and I work with computers and work from home sometimes as well. I am looking for TV services with HD, and DVR. High speed internet for work and online game playing for my ps3. (believe it or not part of my job) as well as wanting to roll the phone service in with it. Thanks for your time.

you can call AT&T and bundle with direct tv. They will tell you that they are only using Dish right now but if you tell them you don't want dish they will let you gte Directv. My coworker did it last week. I have had a bundle w/ AT&T phone & direct tv w/ bellsouth dsl & it runs about 129.00 a month for all of it. I have only has a problem with my directv going off one time & there prices are cheaper than Comcast !! Good luck.

First of all, when you call anyone to come to your house - especially Comcast you plan on spending the whole day at home - no wedding, no job, no exceptions. They don't care about your stupid schedule. Understand that.

Now, on to your alternative question. The answer is Dish TV or Direct TV. Cheaper than Comcast and more reliable. They both require the day long commitment for their service or installation visit, but that's just what you have to do.

When Dish or Direct TV bundles Internet access into their service, Comcast is dead meat.

When I moved to Fayetteville, i wondered why everyone had DirecTV. After about 2 months with Com-should-be-Outcast...I too switched to Direct and love it. Unfourtnatley they dont have internet so i am working on that but the HD-DVR is like none other....

to Directv. We had the same problems with Comcast. They were supposed to come three different times to set up cable but always called saying they were going to be late. We got Directv instead. You can get a bundle deal with Bellsouth phone & DSL. Works great for us.

We, too, had lots of problems with Comcast. I left several messages asking that a Manager call me, but heard nothing. Their customer service is very poor. We finally got our problems resolved, and hope you do too. Sorry I don't have an alternative to recommend. We need more choices! Good luck.
