It was not your typical 5K Run/1 Mile Walk Sept. 6 as more than 100 turned out for the inaugural run of the Peachtree City Toga Trot at Phi Mu headquarters on Westpark Drive. The event was sponsored by members of the national sorority group Atlanta Southern Crescent Alumnae Panhellenic Association (ASCAPA) and Peachtree City Rotary Club. The event was a joint fundraiser for ASCAPA’s scholarship fund and for Rotary’s Polio Plus Foundation. Those organizing the event included George Martin, Kelly Bowman, Cele Eifert, Angela McFarlin, Seanie Zappendorf and Leigh Mitchell.
