Community wide Kids Day planned in Moreland
Emmanuel Baptist Church in Moreland will host a community-wide Kids Day Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. All children in the community are invited for fun, food and fellowship. The church is at 336 Cline Rd., Moreland. For more information, contact Paula Tarwater, 706-302-5510.

Grantville gospel singing set for Aug. 23
The old fashioned southern gospel singing at the old train depot in downtown Grantville is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23 beginning at 7 p.m. The event will feature Second Coming of Griffin and New Horizons of Thomaston. Yard sale, BBQ, gospel sing planned in Moreland
On Oct. 4 beginning at 10 a.m. Emmanuel Baptist Church, 336 Cline Rd., Moreland, will have a huge yard sale, barbecue with all the fixin’s and an all day gospel sing featuring the Toomey family from Buena Vista, Masters Touch from Eustiss, Ala., One Accord from Columbus, Christianaires from LaGrange, Danny Geter from LaGrange, Danny Spencer from Newnan, Amazing Grace from Franklin, and Mona Gayle Presly from LaGrange.
