Cuts in Medicare for retirees

Does anyone know why President Bush wants over a 10% added reduction in the payments to Doctors?
I appears now to be about 70% of the charge is paid for approved things only, and I suppose he wants it to be 60% only of the charge?
Military retires are paid about the same amount, I think.
I suppose he considers it a tax increase!

The part also that is confusing is, how does he know what the actual amount of original charge ought to be? Couldn't the doctor simply raise his bill and get more?
No, you say, other doctors wouldn't do it? Want to bet?

Might I suggest we go ahead and simply put in the conservative plan and resolve this health insurance thing right away? That plan would basically be to eliminate Medicare and Medicaid payments for doctors and have these people buy their own insurance for what they now pay into Social Security.
That sounds good. Insurance costs for a family are currently about $15,000,00 per year. Working people pay about 7% of their salary into Medicare, so that would mean they would be willing to pay about $2000 per year into a private system!

Oh wait, who will pay the other $13,000.00 cost? A group plan of poor peoples private insurance, you say?
I suppose so if you wouldn't mind waiting one or two years for a heart stent and go to Dr. Snotgrass (DC) from Kenticky Abnormsl School!

If you are going to make a blog post at least re-read your post before you submit it...I got through the first couple of paragraphs and gave up because of all the mistakes. I'm sure you have a good point to make, but make in a way that everyone else can understand it.

Sage by any name would be just as incoherent. Go back and read any of Sage's posts and blogs and you will see. When everybody has had their fill of him/her under one name he/she takes on another persona--not fooling anyone but his/herself. Sage/Bonkers/ and whatever persona of the day loves to blog. As he/she pointed out to me on one post, he/she has blogged over a hundred times. I was offered the opportunity to read them--I definitely refused. I enjoy my sanity and intend to keep it. Just take all the many rantings with a grain of salt--without a doubt the next one will be even more filled with spelling and grammatical errors as he/she rants about lack of education, etc today. Evidently he/she did not excel in grammar, spelling, logic or history to say nothing of good common sense.
