However the color (not race, necessarily) is seldom mistaken. But the police and newspaper reporters might word it this way---"well, looks as if an adjoining county has again contributed to our crime statistics in Fayette!" "When we catch them we will be able then to describe their actual color accurately." "In the meantime, if you must know the color, I suggest that you go by statistics to make a determination."
I can however make a suggestion as to how a description might have been given, say seventy-five years ago, when such a crime was committed, and witnessed----"we saw the robbers leave. One was a very dark skinned man, another was a medium colored skinned man, and two of them were Arabic in color. A light skinned female was driving the get-a-way T-Model Ford. This was definitely a minority gang with a female hostage it appears."
