Fox in distress

Last week, early one morning, I awoke to an awful sound outside. I knew it wasn't a deer, rabbit, dog, or cat. I didn't know what it was. The next night (very early morning)it was back. I thought to myself that it had to be a screech owl. I listened to some sound clips of screech owls and figured out that it wasn't an owl. Someone told me that it might be a fox. I found some sites that list different fox vocalizations and identified the sound I heard. I never would have guessed it was a fox!! I suspect he was in distress due to the St. Bernards that live next door. Last evening I was fortunate enough to glimpse Mr. Fox.....he's beautiful!!

Even a dead fish can go with the flow.

There is also one that frequents near downtown Fayetteville. Fox has been spotted several times on 54, in the vicinity of the Hampton Inn. I didn't believe it myself, but early one Saturday morning saw it for myself.

This Fox is very popular.Smiling It's seen everywhere. Alot love it, it has integrity, fair and the other screech when they hear it because it is so right. The other ones need to get a Fox because they will always be in the mood to screech all day and night.

Still can't tell the difference in a fox and FOX, huh?
"and the other screech...because it is so right." (If you say so!)

I'll get my fox and screech all day and all night.

Wonderful clarity for early morning.

I do not know what the fox sounded like, but I can tell you that the strangest sound that I ever heard in the woods at night was a sound that a bobcat makes that is indentical to a baby crying.

The mother in me would have gone outside to investigate! I'll keep that in mind if I ever hear a baby crying late at night. By the way, the same person that told me it might be a fox making the strange noise, also told me he killed a bobcat in his woods. He lives in south Fayette County. Are they known to attack humans, or just house pets?

Yeah, Fox is the best channel, and you better watch out. They come out with the truth.

The noise you heard was all the other channels screeching because the other channels can't stand that the Fox channel tells the truth and got to the news before they did.Laughing out loud

The other channels need to hire more qualified people.Puzzled

"Fox News" does many things, sadly, "telling the truth" is not one of them. It is conservative propaganda spoon-fed to gullible masses.

This, however, doesn't keep the Fox target audience from THINKING that they are informed.

Where do intelligent people get their news?

bpr, fox news is not an animal, and a fox is not a TV channel! OK?

Anyway the government is about to require FOX to remove the word "NEWS" from their description. "News" indicates actuality and not partiality, so they will have to change to Fox Entertainment.

They remind me of Geraldo, Springer, Nancy Grace, Rush Limburger, stupid reality shows, and liars. Anything for a dollar! Oh, and Wright!

"Prove it." Prove what? They are obviously partial and only stupidos don't want to know it!

What is "dollar?" No I don't know what about "dollar."

The kids camp-out in the woods a lot. One less thing to worry about!

There is one that lives near me and that sound is like nothing else I've ever heard. I did the same thing you did thinking it was a screech owl, but the net disproved that. The next door neighbor(who feeds it as it turns out)clued me in. I usually hear it around 9 or 10 at night and he thankfully stops before we go to bed.
