Article on Michelle Obama's college roommate

This article, which ran in the Sunday AJC, provides a fascinating window into the college lives of Barack and Michelle Obama. An honest reading of this article, I believe, will reveal a life far from elitism. This story shows how far we have come as a nation. It reveals how idiotic prejudices can be ( a closeted lesbian woman prejudging a roommate simply by her skin color.) And, most importantly, it shows that two women who met Michelle Obama, though initially having hearts full of prejudice handed down from generation to generation, today have nothing but kind and flattering words to say about the woman, and the man she married.

A story about one person who was at one time a bigot is supposed to "show how far we have come as a nation"?

Our country will never forget that Michelle was not proud of America until her husband starded getting votes.
