Preparations for Fayette County's Relay For Life is in full swing.

The American Cancer Society's annual fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. May 2 at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds in Fayetteville.

In the meantime, there's plenty you can do to make a contribution even if you can't attend the event.

The Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Peachtree City is accepting used books, videos, dvds and cds for resale as a fundraiser for Relay For Life. The books sell for $1 and movies, videos and cds for $2, with $200 already collected.

So, why not take a look around your home and see if you've got some of the above mentioned items and consider donating them toward a very worthy cause.

The restaurant is located at 275 Hwy 75 North and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
