After the resounding success of their March 7 performance, Offshoot Productions’ Gallery Players return to the intimate setting of the Fayette Art Center and Gallery with a new show on Friday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m.

Audience members supply the characters and locations for the scenes, which are then given an inimitable tweak by the veteran improvisers. Some especially brave and willing audience members may also join the actors in a scene or two.

The audience enjoys the comedy of the troupe in a visually stimulating, art-filled studio. During intermission, audience members have an opportunity to view the paintings, pottery, jewelry and more on display at the Art Center.

Proceeds benefit both nonprofit companies, the Fayette Art Center and Gallery and Offshoot Productions. Tickets are $15, and may be purchased in person at the Fayette Art Center, 2011 West Highway 54, Fayetteville (across from Ace Hardware), by phone at 770-631-2780 and online at fayetteartcenter@bellsouth.net. Desserts and beverage will be available at modest prices.

For information on Offshoot Productions, contact the company at offshootpr@aol.com or 770-631-2362 or visit www.offshoot.org. Offshoot, the Southside’s longest-running professional theatre, is currently enjoying its 15th season. In addition to the improv performances, the company is preparing “Tales from Near and Far,” an original participation play for children that opens April 24.
