Disenfranchised in Florida and Michigan ... again.

Well it seems the Democrats are at it again. Just as they have in the past whether by denying absentee ballots or announcing winners prematurely (and incorrectly) in Florida.

It seems the good people of Florida and Michigan will not have an opportunity to participate in the political process and are ... dare we say it ... disenfranchised.

In this the most exciting primary of the last hundred years for democrats they have denied the right to a voice to millions in both Florida and Michigan.

Disenfranchised is defined as depriving the rights of citizenship especially the right to vote. I would say that pretty well defines this fiasco.

Anyway you cut it it's business as usual for the liberal elite who 'know better than the people' who should lead their party and who should be able to vote.

After all, this is the same group that doesn't trust you to invest in your own retirement, doesn't trust you to pick a school with your own money, and thinks increasing the cost for businesses will be good for the economy and make them keep jobs here instead of sending them to India and Mexico.

Hey, what does Michigan and Florida know anyway ... they voted for Hillary.

How long do you think it will take the DNC to back peddle on this one?

I recognize that given your limited comprehension skills, you might not understand what a "rule" is, tsloth. Heck you probably think a rule is like your definition of the law, i.e. "advisory in nature". (Which goes a long way towards explaining why you washed out of law enforcement).

The national Democratic party makes the rules for seating delegates. They said, if you hold your state primary before March 4th AND you are not NH or Iowa, your delegates will not be recognized at the National convention. Michigan and Florida chose not to follow the rules.

Now, tsloth, if you have any children who don't ride the short bus to school, ask them to explain that last paragraph to you.

Pretty simple, hmmm?

Now, I don't know how you treat "rules" in your house, but here at Sniffles manor, when rules are broken there is something called a "consequence".

side note: And unlike "rules" in your subsidized housing, "but...but..Clinton!" is not a valid excuse either.

So spare me your whiny situational outrage, tsloth.

"Rules is Rules" - so it's like if you are banned from this site for being a nasty degenerate blogger, and you change your name(s) and come back ,,, you are VIOLATING your sacred rules?

Or perhaps it is also 'selective' like your plagiarism and 'moral outrage'.

So, when the DNC backs up and allows for a way to have Florida and Michigan to count you will be surprised? Not me Eye-wink

But what's so sad to me is how easily you allow thousands of soldiers in combat and thousands of minorities to be completely disenfranchised because a few rich, white party leaders in Michigan and Florida screwed the pooch.

Talk about self-inflicted wounds. I am soooooo looking forward to the convention!

Florida and Michigan will be rescheduled. Probably as caucuses and most likely in June. It is over before the convention either way.

the "P" match between the two of you, but, my interest is who will end up funding these new primaries? Frankly, both states should have their say in the process, so I have no issue with the situation at hand...

It will be interesting to see how it all works out. Dean has already indicated that the national party won't fund it, and the state won't handle it either. Will MI and FL dems pony up the 25 million (per state) needed? It will be interesting to see this play out...

If I recall correctly, HRC won MI along the lines of 50 to 40 (undecided), then the other 8 points were spread along the other candidates at the time.
