Jo Ann Stuard Dobbs

Jo Ann Stuard Dobbs died Feb. 10, 2008. She was born Aug. 20, 1938 to the late Jack Rufus and Leona Laverne Harrison Stuard. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Lee Stuard, sisters, Leita Meyers and Betty Caddell, and a great-grandson, Bradley Cole Hicks. She was a fiercely proud Texan. Over the years she gave money, time, prayers, and talents to many ministries. She particularly loved to sing and share the word of God. She loved Bible study so much she made a trip to Israel to see sites firsthand. She was a member of Peachtree City Christian Church. Besides singing, she loved gardening, politics, baking and socializing with friends and family.

Services were at Biggers Funeral Home, Lake Worth, Texas with interment at the family plot in Macedonia Cemetery, Stephens County, Texas.

Survivors include a son, Everett Theodore "Trey" Small III and his fiancée, Donna Wallace, Stephenville, Texas; daughters, Hollie Coker, Weatherford, Texas, Carrie and Bill Hicks, Peachtree City; grandchildren, Amber Small, Casey Coker, Cory and Jamie Coker, Chris and Shari Hicks, Ryan Hicks, and Daniel Hicks; great-grandsons, Keegan Coker, and Braden Hicks; a brother, Jack Stuard; a sister, Judy Spencer; and best friend, Baby.

Memorial donations may be made to In Touch Ministries, P. O. Box 7900, Atlanta, GA 30357 or the American Kidney Fund.

Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, handled the local arrangements.
