Fayette County Music Education

One of the band directors at our high school gave us some numbers the other night about the All State band program this year: Fayette County placed the second most kids in the All State Band program this year, beaten by only Cobb County although Cobb had 15 high schools and Fayette has only 5. Fulton has 14 high schools and only placed 20 someodd kids, Gwinnett with 16 high schools paced about 36 kids, so all in all Fayette County rocks when it comes to music.

Though not a band kid back in the day, I had many who were friends, and my piano education makes me a sympathizer.
