Bertha Aldridge McDowell, 91, Newnan, died Jan. 2, 2008. She was born April 19, 1916 in Randolph County, Ala., to the late William Jackson and Lydia Ann Wood Aldridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Kirby McDowell, and a daughter, Brenda Joan McDowell. Services were at the McKoon chapel with Pastor Danny Wilson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors includes several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
