Metro section todays AJC

Mr Rast told the writer of a column that the 33,000 SF store and many other stores would be built by summer of 2008 on the west side of PTC!

WOW When was it passed? Did we abandon the two streets already?

This apparently is like TDK: it will be done and dam the torpedoes, full speed ahead!

What has that old article got to do with the article in TODAY'S Metro section?

It's the exact same development.

I still don't know what you are saying!

I thought it WAS NOT approved to construct, and not even to abandon the streets.

Are you being coy about the inaccurate article in the AJC?

What's the old expression about "No good deed shall go unpunished"?

Those of us who are not spreading our intelligence over multiple logons understood you were referring to the piece of property immediately west of Doug McMurrain's.

He's spreading it thinner and thinner, but you have to admit the names are getting closer and closer to the truth.

I noticed in the original story that the developer was "tenatively" approved for a 29K foot store, and now he's boasting a 33K sq foot store? Are developers routinely granted a 15% variance from plan?

I think -- but I could be wrong -- that the item involves a smaller tract in front of the ex-Kohl's site, no? But it's not really clear exactly where or what it is...

The development referenced is the former Days Inn property, and the ajoining parcel to the west of that - all previously approved. Its not the Line Creek drive property that has been recently discussed.

when the discussion was done on the big box, etc.!

Is there to be a traffic light added at both locations?

Should be fun going from GA-74 towards Newman someday!

Impossible at Christmas!

A little at a time fools everyone!

I asked the same question of three members of our current city council and was told there would only be one traffic light addition. I believe it will be located at the intersection of the road Peachy Clean Carwash was located and 54.

I also asked if they could do anything to stop the addition of that light, and they said no. It would be required by traffic counts and state law. Anyone know any different?
