Dr. Raymond L. Scott, 79, Fayetteville, died Nov. 4, 2007. He was born Dec. 15, 1927 in Collingdale, Pa. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert. He
moved to the Fayetteville area in 2005. His scientific training included a B.A. degree in pre-medicine and organic chemistry from Temple University an M.S. in organic chemistry from Drexel University, and doctoral studies in biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. His theological education included an M.Div. degree and an M.A. in church history, both from Wheaton Graduate School of Theology, plus a Th.D. in theology from Grace Theological Seminary. Prior to entering the Christian ministry he was employed for 16 years in medical and pharmaceutical research. He had serviced churches for over 54 years. He authored a unique book describing the actual appearances of Christ in Old Testament times. Services were at Woolsey Baptist Church, where he was an active member. Survivors include his wife, Anne Scott, Fayetteville; sons, Raymond and Kitty, Scott Jr., Florida, Stuart and Zondra Scott, Los Angeles, and Dr. Thomas Scott, Blairsville; and grandchildren, Courtney, Rachel, Zachary, Christa, Marc, Tommy, Kelsey and Jordan; and a great-grandchild, Mia.
