Albert Sterling

Albert Sterling, Fayetteville, died Sept. 14, 2007. He was born and raised in Wayne County, Miss. He was a graduate of Waynesboro Vocational High School, Alcorn State University, and Roosevelt University. He later attended Covington Theological Seminary, Rossville, Ga., and received a doctorate degree in theology and counseling. He worked for the Chicago Board of Education as a teacher, vice principal, and principal for 38 years, retiring in 1998. He also worked at the Amos Alonzo Stagg Elementary School for five years. Services were at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Wood officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Princie Sills Sterling, Fayetteville; a son, Reginald and Kim Sterling, Dallas, Texas; daughter, Trina Sterling, Fayetteville; brothers, Arlee, Donald, John and Edward; and sisters, Juanita, Barbara, Patricia, and Lutricia. Memorial donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, 10700 South Emerald Ave., Chicago, ILL 60628 or Liberty Baptist Church, 1077 Hwy. 314, Riverdale, GA 30296. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
