Neighborhoods ready to make Kroger pay

I live in a subdivision called Greensway. It sits behind the shopping center where the Kroger is closing and the Goodwill is coming.

Forty people from my small neighborhood came to my home last night to discuss how we are going to stop Kroger from behaving so irresponsibly. We decided to boycott all Kroger stores until we get a grocery store back into our shopping center.

We have a goal to get 5,000 signatures in this next week. The loss of revenue for the other two stores would be about $2 million each month until this is resolved.

I have attached a copy of a [Peachtree City] zoning ordinance called the Dark Store Ordinance. In section 6 the property owner is giving the right to take the store back if the tenant breaks the lease. I want to know why the mayor and the City Council keep saying there is nothing they can do. Clearly there is.
