Olivet Church begins Sweet 16th Anniversary celebration

The Olivet Church, “Where Families Fellowship in Fayetteville,” will celebrate its Sweet Sixteenth Church Anniversary during September and October and will feature four services.

On Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at 11 a.m., the Rev. John F. White II, pastor of New Mt. Zion A.M.E Church in Tallahassee, Fla., will open the celebration.

The Rev. H. Beecher Hicks, pastor of the historic Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. will deliver the message Sunday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., Bishop Victor Curry, pastor of New Birth Baptist Church in Miami, Fla. will preach.

The Rev. Dr. Howard W. Creecy Jr., pastor of the Olivet Church, will close out the Sweet Sixteen Anniversary Celebration, on “Super Sunday,” Oct. 7, at 11 a.m.

Olivet introduced a third worship service earlier this month as part of the celebration. Services are now offered at 7:45, 9, and 11 a.m. each Sunday.

The Olivet Church is at 877 Ga. Hwy. 314 North, Fayetteville.

Dr. Howard W. Creecy, Sr. is pastor and founder, Dr. Howard Creecy Jr. is senior pastor and teacher, and Minister Besean Jackson is the youth and young adult minister.
