To Sheryl LeeI remember when you were one of the most loved people in this community. I remember when you drove us kids to school each day. We were always so happy when we would see your face. Remember when the community put together your celebration retirement? We were all in tears and so happy to be together. I remember when you would want a project funded or to do some kind of event. No one would turn you down. We all supported you. You had a vision for a hometown community and we all wanted that. We could see it through your eyes. We were all proud of each other and came together to support each other. Where did you go Sheryl? What happened to you? We use to see you around town, you use to talk to the citizens. We, and yes, I can say we, because I have spoken to a lot of citizens in Tyrone don’t know what happened to you, we are disappointed in you Sheryl. You’ve made some wrong choices Sheryl. But when you decided to humiliate a Tyrone citizen and employee you went too far. I don’t know what Van Brock did to you, but he deserves better from this town and you. I for one use to know that you cared a lot for him and his wife. He has worked for this town I hear for more than 20 years. I know that Roger Spencer hired him and took him under his wing. I also remember you took him under your wing. He has lived in Tyrone for most of his life and I have spoken with him and he loves it here. He was the right person for the Chief’s job when Roger passed away and you chose differently. But to push him aside three times is just wrong. Why don’t you just fire him if you think he is that bad of a police officer. I will be very happy when you get out of office Sheryl and become a citizen again. I don’t think that the people that you have decided to pledge your allegiance to will show you the time of day then. They only want to control you Sheryl. But the Sheryl I use to know and support would not have allowed someone else to rule her. I pray for you Sheryl. You have definitely lost your way and I hope and pray that Van Brock will be able to forgive you one day. newmayor's blog | login to post comments |
