Well, to start with, you have to be able to run to catch a thief, etc. that is presumed, that is why you have to pass a yearly ..physical...When you are 5'10 tall and 5'11 wide, something tells me you can't do it...Also..his years as a policeman was 2 years in Fairburn working in the radio room as a dispatcher!

"He had recommendations for the position from former police chiefs Johnny Hay and Roger Spencer as well as Fayette County Sheriff Randall Johnson and former state senator Dick Lane. "To the best of my knowledge, I have never received a resume from the other candidates." said Caldwell.
Twinkel toes from Alice in Wonderland, referrd to as Perkins, stated, "I didn't know it was going to be filled this quick. I know there is already opposition to it but we have to move on and go with it.This is one of the things you work for" explained Perkins.
"Who doesn't want to reach the top? " This is a joke...yeah who doesn't want to, but most know they have to earn it. Then explains Barney, "We don't have to follow the handbook, cause I made damm sure we didn't write one for just this kind of occasion!"

I will say, Let me see the proof, you just making up a lame report, gossip and crap. Barry did a wonderful job, you should educate people not attack them, you don't need to get hard and dirty with Barry, you are clueless. The Council ought to have sense to know what will happen, why don't you talk to Barry heart to heart to straighten it out. You can't fire Barry, he has a contract, he's a lawyer, he knows what he's doing, and beside anyone can write any ordinance. So grow up, you cry babies. Barry did not fired those people, they just quit because they're jealous. You are just the same blogger with a different name. You know very well that everybody loves Barry & Valerie. So why don't you just move on and make a buck somewhere else. Tyrone government doesn't really have a problem. We all one big happy family. You're just one of those victims or concerned citizens who loves to create trouble. So please do not argue with smart people anymore. We have a wonderful Town Manager. Any how, Grace and Gloria should have known better. The voters elected our great Mayor, Council and we are proud of their work.

Oh the old good friend sarcasm!! I love your post ConfushaSay! But on a more professional level, I want to address the original post about the new chief. Barry Amos has to appoint someone who will go along with his tyranny. Mullis obviously had enough of Amos and Smola who have both used the police to harass citizens needlessly and out of revenge. So I guess the new guy fit Amos' qualifications perfectly:
1. Dumb
2. Lack of experience
3. A Follower
4. Delusional enough to not see Amos for what he is
5. Dumb
6. Dumb, oh sorry did I already say dumb?
7. Unable to recognize the Draconian qualities and selfish goals of Amos.
8. NOT VAN BROCK
9. NOT VAN BROCK
10. NOT VAN BROCK (3 times for the 3 times he has now been passed over for a job he was groomed for and is best qualified for to fulfill the duties of a Chief of Police - oh yeah, that's the real world, Tyrone is operating in another sphere of reality altogether)

Amos should have appointed Mrs. Smola. That would have been great!
