Dogwood to offer class addressing ‘faith’
On Tuesday evenings, Dogwood Church will offer a new class called “The Object of Our Faith is to Know Him More,” which addresses what faith is and where one should place his faith. Classes will run from Sept. 11 - Oct. 30, Tuesday evenings from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Church auditorium, 975 Ga. Hwy 74 South, near the intersection of Ga. Hwy 74 and Dogwood Trail. B’nai Israel to celebrate Jewish New Year
Congregation B’nai Israel in Fayetteville is celebrating Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year of 5768, on Wednesday, Sept. 12 (Erev Rosh Hashana) with services at 8 p.m., and Thursday, Sept.13, with services at 10 a.m. On Friday evening, Sept. 21, will be Kol Nidre services at 8 p.m. and Saturday morning Yom Kippur morning services at 10 a.m. followed by Yizkor/afternoon services at 4 p.m. B’nai Israel is at 1633 Ga. Hwy. 54 East at Corinth Rd., east of Fayetteville.

St. Gabriel church to offer morning out program
The Catholic Church of St. Gabriel in Fayetteville is now offering a Mother’s Morning Out program for children 12 months to 2-1/2 years old. Those who are interested in enrolling their child or who would like more information, may contact the religious education office, 770-461-0493.

Korean choir to sing at National Heights
The public is invited to hear the Milal Korean Choir sing at National Heights Baptist Church on Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. The concert consists of sacred music presented in both English and Korean. Milal, the Korean word for a grain of wheat that produces 50- to 100-fold, is a mission organization with groups in various parts of the world. National Heights is on Ga. Fayette Presbyterian plans trip to Nicaragua
Fayette Presbyterian Church’s Mission Committee will have a planning meeting Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a family mission trip to Nicaragua in the summer of 2008. Invitations are sent to family groups to be part of this volunteer mission trip. Members of the community are invited to become part of this group. Inman UMC tractor show planned
Inman United Methodist Church will hold a tractor show Sept. 14-16 as part of the Inman Heritage Days annual event at the Minter Farm in south Fayette County. The show will feature old tractors and farm machinery, arts and crafts, and food.
