I'm curious as to why with the season openers for the schools only a week away, why I've seen no articles on the teams, we have 5 high schools and I've seen zilch on the teams. What kind of sports department are you running Cal.

In answer to Hutch's question: A very good sports department.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will mark the debut of this county's first and only sportscast centered on high school sports -- especially football now. Visit this site in under 24 hours and you can listen to your heart's content.

Then, next week, a multi-page high school sports special section will be published in our Wednesday paper, and will be mirrored on this site. Read to your heart's content.

And by the way, have you missed our dozens and dozens of photos posted on this site and in the paper about our many local teams?
