Thoughts on Munson

Larry Munson, legendary voice of the Georgia Bulldogs, is scaling back his workload this year and Eric Zeier will be working with Scott Howard on UGA road games this year.

"Whathaveyougot" on Munson? Love him, hate him? Who are your favorite sports radio broadcasters?

Personally, I'll take Munson over the tv crews any day, but he is quite the pessimist and it gets a little annoying. I think he has a unique voice and that is an asset for any broadcaster. I grew up listening to Jonny Most call Celtics games and currently listen to Scott Ferrell on Sirius when I'm in the car at night. I guess I just like painful sounding voices.

They are fun to imitate.

I like doing Lorne's voice too. He's hilarious.

They are like Faux News, glorify small accomplishments and make excuses for failures!
Kinda like Reagan did when he was a sports announcer, call them whether he sees them or not.
Say everybody is rail good, or everybody stinks, no in between!

is that anything like "real" good? I tell ya, kids these days are raised on Velcro shoes, digital watches and internet English. Is it any wonder why they're(not there or their) so ignorant?

Rail good is Arkansas or Alabama for real good, that is correct.
It is something like worehouses for warehouses, or worem out for wore him out, or whoopedup on him for whipped up (or down) on him, callin him out for questioning his stance, or grubbin fer wurms fer hungry.

I can't imagine a Saturday afternoon in the fall without hearing him, although I'd rather hear Eli Gold any day of the week.
