The Second Annual Mighty Men of Valor Conference for young men, ages 14-18, and their fathers, will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Sandy Creek High School. This year’s theme is “Boys to Men: Making the Transition from Boyhood to Successful Manhood.”

The Mighty Men of Valor Conference is designed to encourage adult men and young men, ages 14-18, to claim their rightful inheritance as males and to strengthen their ability to stand and operate as men anointed for a special purpose. This conference places special emphasis on young men intentionally striving for excellence in academics and in life.

Although the event is sponsored by the NAACP, all young men in the community are invited. Downloadable registration forms are available at www.fcnaacp.org. Lunch is included in the $25 per person registration fee. Scholarships are available.

Submit registrations by mail as soon as possible to the address on the form. Last minute reservations can be made via e-mail at mmov@fcncaap.org. Walk-in registration will be on a space available basis only.
