How many games would the Falcons win without Michael Vick?

Kevin Wandra's picture

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday banned Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick from Falcons training camp, and there is a chance that Vick could be suspended for the entire regular season. If Vick doesn't play for the Atlanta this season, how many games will the Falcons win under rookie head coach Bobby Petrino? I say no more than four.

Keep in mind, Falcons fans, that if Atlanta finishes as the worst team in the league, they could draft the projected top pick in next year's draft, Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm, whom Petrino knows quite well, having worked with Brohm in his previous job as Louisville's coach.

"How many games would the Falcons win without Michael Vick?" Question is,How many more people will become fans now that he is gone?? MANY...
He is a loser. Very poor example for our kids today. No great loss at all.

Maybe someone should mention how many ticket sales the Falcons will lose should they keep Michael Vick and he plays!! I think Michael Vick should be STONED TO DEATH!!! Don't give me this crap letting the hands of justice work. There is too much againist Vick. He played a big role in this, now maybe justice can figure out just how big, but with everything out in the open, anyone can see he is not innocent! I've already cleaned out the Michael Vick stuff in my son's bedroom. It's where it belongs..........in the trash!

Here was a young man who had a great gift - and it was wasted because somewhere along the line his moral character was/is lacking. Vic exhibited an attitude that was so destructive - and for some reason he felt that he could not leave the old ways of his former environment. This has nothing to do with a poor neighborhood - for many come out of the projects and are ready to use their cultivated talents for the good of their community and families. Vic seemed to ignore the clause in his contract that called for behavior that would represent his team in the best possible light. I guess he thought he could do whatever he wanted - and it would be acceptable. I hope that he is exonerated - for an indictment is not a conviction. But somewhere in his experience he is going to have to learn to make better choices about his activities and companions.

the 2nd biggest win in his career, came at the expense of Favre and Packers. First home playoff loss for the Packers at the time in quite a while.

And maybe the year before that. It's not like they've been burning it up with Vick. Also, the Falcons have hired a real offensive Coach. The last guy was a complete moron.

In my opinion - getting rid of Michael Vick would make the falcons a winner.

If we don't start holding professional athletes more accountable we are going to lose yet another generation of kids.

Home Depot's stock is down - maybe Arthur M. Blank (and Bernard Marcus) would be wise to fire Vick and announce that they are going to build a team that the parents and kids can look to as an example of courage, integrity, and sportsmanship.

That would make them a winner in my book.

While I'm not sure how many strikes are in a football game, or how many goals are needed to get a home run or to make a basket . . . I certainly do know that Vick is not a role model in any sense of the word. That fellow needs the BOOT, fast, quick and in a hurry.

Grown men (and women) get paid ridiculous amounts of money to PLAY a game we all played as youngsters and spend money trying to play as adults.

If you fired every single one of them and capped their salary at the average nurse, cop, or teacher's salary, you would still have people lined up to try out and participate.

These adults have unbelievable retirement pensions and are usually unionized.

Most pro athletes could not duplicate their income outside of sports if their life depended on it. Many athletes make more money in product endorsements than in salary alone.

Many Pro-Athletes would be working at your local loading dock if it were not for their athletic ability and America's obsession with fame and sports.

America idolizes these men (and some women) and they are held to a lower standard of acceptable behavior then the rest of us.

Like Celebrities, their unqualified opinions are automatically elevated above the average, hard working, college educated, American.

Virtually no one can name the teacher of the year, scientist of the year, nurse of the year, or police officer of the year and yet nearly everyone can name a pro athlete.

Despite the admiration and adoration of children, most pro-athletes do not feel morality should be a requirement for pro-sports participation.

Michael Vick had to decide if he would finish medical school for neurosurgery or play football.

Okay, the last one was a joke.

summary, what a hoot!

Vick has got to go, just no sense at all for someone with that kind of influence to have such poor judgement . . . sad to think of who and what kids look up to these days.

Well I did cut my yard last night (but not Hutch's) and did 3 miles on the elliptical and went to a band meeting and met the "Hutch" himself. I'm going to leave soon for Arkansas.
