Peachtree City New Neighbors League Club (NNLC) will sponsor its annual Amnesty Day on Thursday, Aug. 2 at the Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 N. Peachtree Parkway.

The club’s monthly meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with a social time starting at 9:30 a.m.

Normally, new residents are invited to join NNLC by the New Neighbors League Area Representative within their first year of moving to Fayette or neighboring counties. However, Amnesty Day opens membership to residents who have lived here for more than a year and never joined the club. Anyone who missed the opportunity to join during their first year of moving here is welcome to attend the August meeting and join at that time.

The club’s lifetime membership fee is $25 plus $20 for the first year’s subscription to the monthly newsletter, “Peachtree Pathways.” The newsletter provides information on the various interest groups and special activities, including monthly tours, luncheons, socials, etc.

New Neighbors League Club is an Atlanta-based organization with 14 chapters throughout the United States. Its motto is “Fun & Friendship,” and its purpose is to bring new residents together so they can make friends while adjusting to their new surroundings.

The Peachtree City chapter, chartered in 1986, has more than 250 members.
