FFUMC schedules summer pot luck dinners
Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have family pot luck dinners in the Family Life Center on July 18 and 25 (Wednesdays) at 5:30 p.m. Reservations are not necessary. Bring friends, family and food to share. Paper products and lemonade will be provided. The church is in downtown Fayetteville across the street from the courthouse.

FFBC seniors to visit Billy Graham museum
Seniors (age 55 and older) at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will travel to Charlotte, N.C. this weekend, July 20 and 21, for a visit to the newly opened Billy Graham Library and Museum. The group also will enjoy the play, “Loaves and Fishes,” and will make a stop in Gaffney, S.C. on the way home to pick peaches and visit the outlet mall. The cost is $90 per person and includes motel (Holiday Inn Express), breakfast, dinner and theater. The museum is free. Grace church to host Freedom Firm’s Malstead
Greg Malstead, founder of Freedom Firm, will speak Friday, July 27, at 7 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail in Fayetteville (www.gracechurchfayette.org). Freedom Firm rescues children forced into prostitution and seeks justice against their oppressors by identifying victims and perpetrators of forced prostitution and mobilizing law enforcement agencies to rescue victims and arrest perpetrators. They assist the legal system in the prosecution of perpetrators and encourage rescued girls to seek justice and to engage in effective rehabilitation. COS plans special service for teachers
On Monday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m., Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will have special service of prayer and appreciation for teachers as they begin the new school year. Those who teach, have ever taught or have ever been taught, are invited to come and share in the blessing. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

Support groups for all addictions start Aug. 6
Liberty Baptist Church’s “Recovery Ministry” will offer support groups for all addictions beginning Monday, Aug. 6. Groups will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and will continue until 9 p.m. every Monday evening at the church, 1077 Ga. Hwy. 314, Riverdale. There is no cost. DivorceCare Recovery class starts Aug. 14
A new class will begin Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Providence United Methodist Church. DivorceCare is a 15-week Biblically based class, with a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Membership at Providence is not a requirement to attend. The class is open to the community. There are no costs involved and free child care is available. The class meets Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Room F-13 at Providence, 592 Bernard Rd., Fayetteville. CDM to host musical guests, soloists
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) in Fairburn will host an Apostolic-Prophetic Anointing Meeting Sunday, July 22, at 6 p.m., featuring special musical guests and soloists from Eleventh Hour TV and Vision Media Ministry. Love Fellowship in Fairburn plans Community Day
Love Fellowship Christian Church in Fairburn will host its annual Community Day activities Saturday, July 28, from 7 a.m.until 3 p.m. This year’s festivities will include free food, a 2K fun walk, a display from the fire department, a health fair sponsored by South Fulton Medical Center, and a children’s carnival with face painting, horseback rides and a moon walk.
