Iraq and September?

Our Government at the White House, principally Mr. Bush, continually tell us that the new ground commander in Iraq, General Petraeus, will report in September just how well the surge is working and whether or not to continue the war in some fashion.
The General is, after all, the umpteenth "ground commander" since the war started. Some did Abu Ghraib which didn't work, some bombed which didn't work, some tortured which didn't work, and on and on. Right now as I understand it, we are jailing many, many more again---and gathering very valuable intelligence every day---several hundred pieces of it I think the spokesman over there said.
A lot of that intelligence is about three missing soldiers taken prisoner, apparently. I've seen the searchers going through the same palm tree patch every day for a week, and knocking on doors.
Now, just what is the General going to tell us in September that the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and the entire Iraqi hierarchy and legislature don't already know?
We ain't going nowhere just yet! We can't. Now too much at stake. We may back off to conclaves or Afghanistan for awhile but we ain't coming home.
I really regret that no one in power now can be believed.

You're right dollar, I think maybe you should hop a plane to Iraq and straighten this mess out. You seem to have all the answers, so for the good of the country I'm willing to donate $20.00 towards your ticket, how about it folks, any other donations for dollar to go to Iraq and take charge?
