Kenneth R. Peterson

Kenneth R. Peterson, 80, Peachtree City, died April 15, 2007. He was born Feb. 10, 1922 in Worchester, Mass. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy in the Pacific. He was a professor of wood technology for 11 years at the University of Illinois in Champagne, Ill. He was technical director for eight years at The American Hardboard Association. He worked at Georgia Pacific for 17 years in Atlanta, as director of technical services and was director of technical services at Forest Products Research Lab in Madison, Wisc. for five years.

Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father John Paul Ezeonyido officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. Peterson, Peachtree City; children, Linda Peterson, Jim Peterson, and Paul Peterson, all of Peachtree City, Bob Peterson, Pensacola, Fla., and Bill Peterson, Snellville; and seven grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
