By: John Munford
The Youth Council will host a golf cart scavenger hunt and picnic Saturday that will kick off at Picnic Park near the All Children’s Playground starting at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $8 per team and includes picnic food and drinks. Teams will be allowed up to four players and must bring their own digital camera to document the items they find on the list, which will include more than 50 items. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. Pre-registration is required and may be done online at www.theyouthcouncil.com. Registrations will also be accepted at the city’s recreation department on McIntosh Trail from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday. All participants must follow the city and state golf cart regulations, organizers said. The Youth Council, formerly known as the Peachtree City Youth Council, is a group of volunteers comprised of local teenagers who want to have a positive influence on others in the community. In addition to volunteering, Youth Council members also host music concerts and other fund-raisers throughout the year. For more information, visit www.theyouthcouncil.com. login to post comments |
