The McIntosh varsity boys lacrosse team continues to roll defeating area rival Pace Academy by a score of 9-7. Jumping to a 7-3 lead at half, the Chiefs had an opportunity to give many players more time, and coasted to the victory. The latest win takes the sixth ranked McIntosh to 6 -1 overall, including five straight wins. The Ward brothers, Zack and DJ, anchored the attack with support from Joe Maskery, Brian Huefner and freshman Jack Bornhofen. Garrett Lee, Andy Milani, Dan Christ, Dan Green and goalie standout freshman Cooper O’Brien all had strong games in the winning effort.

The surging Chiefs face off against Fayette County rival Starr’s Mill tonight at McIntosh Stadium at 7 p.m. Both of the games from last year were well worth the trip and with both teams coming off of big wins tonight promises to be an exciting game.

Starr’s Mill got an 11-10 win over Woodward Academy on Tuesday evening. They will host Lakeside-Evans at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

McIntosh’s girls lacrosse team avenged a 15-8 loss to Woodward Academy in the season opener with an 8-4 win the other night.
