Bloggers, Repent!

O. K. All you bloggers and Free Speech writers. Enough is enough! Tyrone is becoming the laughing stock of Fayette County all because of it's Town Manager, his cohort, some members of the Tyrone Council and the Mayor. I am asking that you cease and desist- immediately! These people work hard to make the best of a bad situation. With all these pesky citizens bothering them and asking that they do things the citizens would like, what is a good person to do? Imagine, a park that no one wanted and that was supposed to be no cost (material supplied by developer friends) and labor (a lot of it) supplied by the Town at the expense of Shamrock Park, the golf cart paths, etc. (no cost mind you?) lights that blind you, dangerous parking that is on, we assume on Senoia Road's right of way, 40 year old oaks that, iaw ordinance, should be replaced, signs that do not meet code, and a gazebo that will be used by no one but errant skateboarders.
And again, those citizens that expect that development of the 54 acres recently purchased would be developed iaw with existing ordinances. Ridiculous! Developers come in and ask for variances, multiuse development, senior housing (right! hide and watch), without sewage, green space set asides, traffic studies, environmental studies, required services, etc. and they expect our Town management and Council to roll over and play dead. Again, what is a poor manager to do? Do you listen to the citizens, their comprehensive plans, and their repeated plea to leave Tyrone with a small town atmosphere, limited development and single family housing on one acre, septic tank serviced lots or do you keep the citizens in the dark and hope they go away. It’s a real dilemma.
And then, Town management tries to build a new road for the citizens, supposedly with developer money and nobody appreciates the fact that there are no shoulders on this road, storm water control is less than satisfactory, and the right turn onto Tyrone/Palmetto Road is taking your life into your own hands due to "engineering"? Again, the citizens just expect too much. Other items such as emergency exits out of Shamrock Industrial Park, air pollution, Millbrook's sewer odor problems, etc. are problems that should not be constantly brought before Council. This is unfair! These people, elected and appointed, work hard to do the best they can for their citizens. So, again, I ask, please leave these people alone! They are doing the best they can!
Oh, yeah! And the library bids came in today. Get prepared to have your taxes increased to pay for it and its upkeep for a long time to come.

I would beg to differ with you Loopie, “Tyrone the laughing stock of Fayette County”? Why Loopie, we should be so proud of our Town Manager, Town Clerk, Mayor Lee, Councilman Smola and Letourneau. They are doing such a bang up job for the citizens. It is so hard to know where to begin to talk about all of their accomplishments. Let’s see, you are right, Barney and Thelma can’t be bothered by all that you have listed. They are either shopping around Atlanta, running marathons, eating breakfast, lunch or dinner together. I don’t think you are bothering them, they are too busy enjoying their time together. When they do take time out of their fluffing of each other, Barney can be found patting himself on the back about his Triangle Park. I find it absolutely hilarious and agree with all that you mention, but now he is adding the parking for the park. There is more asphalt around that tiny piece of property than there are sidewalks. For those skateboarders that have cars, when they leave the park, they are going to be backing out onto Senoia Road, you know, right down the street from all the new housing that Burt Clark is paying to develop, where he use to live. There sure will be plenty of accidents. Which leads me to the Tyrone Police Dept. Good Job Mayor Lee. You said that you were doing the hiring of the Chief. Well, as usual, you are doing a superb job of handling the matters of the Town. Thanks, the citizens appreciate it.
Councilman Letourneau and Councilman Smola. I realize that confrontation, especially in public is not desirable. I know that I wouldn’t like it. But you chose to be a leader of Tyrone and what a great leader you two are. I understand that it can be difficult having to answer Councilwoman Furr and Councilwoman Caldwell’s concerns and you are probably tired of having to listen to them go on and question every decision. That has to be horrible. Well, you get a Good Job and I applaud you. You are handling it great, especially when you are up on your perch, you do a great job of rolling your eyes, making faces and your tone when speaking to your cohorts or citizens is so respectful. Thanks.
So, I would like to close by saying, Loopie, you are wrong, Tyrone will not be the laughing stock of Fayette County, just sit back and watch. They are going to do an awesome job on the Library, just wait and see, it should prove to be most entertaining.

To make a difference in the world, you must first dare to be different.

I think things will be fine. No one is going to vote in housing on lots smaller than an acre when Mill Brook still has a septic problem that many, living there, are not happy with. People want to be re elected, or, if not, don't want to go into hiding for the rest of their lives. There is no way to say anymore, "you gave any developer the benefit of the doubt", or "hoped it would turn out for the best". There are proven track records of the developers and proven track records of elected officials. No one will stand for it, and the public is watching, with their eyes wide open.

Good report girl friend.

Next time try paragraphs for each idea. It will help readership. Most people have to read in short segments since they are distracted by other things.

I forgot what you wrote about since it was so long ago, but it was well-written, although poorly formatted.

See what I mean about the paragraphs?

Last time I went through there all they had was a junk store and a cat fish house!
