Voodoo vs. Santeria/Lukumi

Santeria and Voodoo/Vodoun are seperate religions. While similar in some ways to Voodoo, Santeria is NOT a "voodoo religion" or a branch of the same faith. While both have similarities in origin and beliefs, both have distinct practices, theology, etc. It is simply not appropriate to use "voodoo" as a generic or umbrella term.

There must be more religions in the world than there are races, countries, and states combined!
