What is next?
I worked for John McCain in the 1999 election, but when Bush was chosen I voted for anybody but that fellow. I have never understood why he was chosen and why such stalwarts as Limbaugh, Hannity, and FOX News, also continued to support him for so very long. I always hated corporations who covered up for severely limited management right up to the very day they fired them, after it was too late.
However, maybe now we can do some things American rather than for special interests, such as : Raise the minimum wage for students (under 18) to $9.00 as soon as possible and others to $12.00; provide health insurance (after $1000 ded.) and 401k benefits to all, full and part time workers (give some tax benefits to employers to help pay for it);deduct the full amount of social security from wages and dividends for all wages, for all year, to support SS; do not allow set-aside spending for wars---sell bonds or raise taxes for that seperately; in order to protect the USA, initiate the draft for military service, NO EXCEPTIONS for two years--if someone disabled, give them a job for disabled, use all excess draftees to guard the border, search containers, and work to help pay for themselves; rebuild all of the bridges, dams, electrical grids, and other infrastructure that have deteriorated much recently; do not have companies like Halliburton and Bextel s the only sources for immediate security needs--there are plenty of companies who would do a better job and cheaper; put in term limits immediately--six years for senators--no retirement, four years for representatives, no retirement, pay them well; none, none, of the pacs, no contributions over $20 for elections; build 100 new submarines with a full complement of atomic bombs; open our borders to anyone who will enter legally, and shoot those who do not.
