That was the year I returned to my native Georgia. Five and one half years in Michigan had delighted me with all the snow I ever wanted to see for the rest of my life. My intent, as Lewis Grizzard wrote in his book "If I ever get back to Georgia, I'm gonna nail my feet to the ground!" (or something like that) was to do exactly that.
