I think this article sums it up quite nicely.
Mon, 15 Jun 2009 17:16:21 -0400 Fayette County Parks http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/36686
Several weeks ago, the Citizen posted an article titled, "Kenwood Park, it's TOO Popular" which exposed a serious problem that I and many others have been well aware of for quite some time now. The problem, out of county residents (primarily from Clayton and Fulton) are overtaking, and in some cases abusing, Kenwood Park in north Fayetteville (a Fayette County park). Kenwood Park is the newest park and probably considered the "crown jewel" considering it's newness, wide range of recreational facilities, and overall $6.something million dollar cost to county taxpayers. Moreover, these out of county license plates that make up over 75% of the overall cars that are parked in the park, make Fayette Countians that want to use the park along with their families feel uncomfortable by allowing their "family pets" (i.e., pit bulls) to roam free. Even the ones that are chained to a fence as you walk by scare the be-jesus out of kids and adults.
Mon, 11 May 2009 08:13:43 -0400 "OBAMA ENVY" : McCains' Downfall http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/31685
Although some may not care to admit it just yet, McCain will most certainly lose this election as a result of his intense envy for the iconic figure Obama has become since campaigning over the past 2 years.
Sat, 13 Sep 2008 16:42:15 -0400 Americans, Please Don't Get Smart! http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/30420
As many of you are aware, John McCain’s campaign is a total disaster – and it gets worse every day. He doesn’t know the difference between Sunni and Shia, he doesn’t “get” this economy thing everyone is on about, and he thinks Czechoslovakia still exists.
Sun, 27 Jul 2008 11:00:43 -0400 Current State of our Economy http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/29054
Email this article to everyone you know. I was truly taken aback by this.
Sun, 25 May 2008 18:52:30 -0400 Speculators Knock OPEC from their Perch http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/28391
Interesting read to say the least. This article lays out exactly how Americans are taking it in the shorts on the whole oil scam. Another story about how our corrupt financial system has been hi-jacked by market-hedging thieves who artifically drive up the price using legal loop-holes to do it.
Thu, 15 May 2008 14:13:28 -0400 Why Obama will beat McCain http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/25962
Without question, this election is the Democrats to lose. That being said, I believe the Democratic candidate is likely to give John McCain a beat-down of epic proporations, no matter who it is. After all, this is the Democrats election to lose considering how much of a failure this current GOP administration has been in the past 8 years.
Wed, 27 Feb 2008 16:21:05 -0500 OBA-MANIA! http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/25524
My thoughts on this years election is really quite simple: To me, there is no other viable choice other than Barack Obama.
Thu, 14 Feb 2008 15:00:38 -0500 Bushies at it again ... http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/17028
The NY Times article about how Olberg was vindicated in blowing the whistle on the Student Aid Scandal, depicts an end run around the regulations and purposeful negation of oversight which cost taxpayers at the very least hundreds of millions of dollars, and benefitted companies such as Nelnet, one of the biggest contributors to the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2006.
Sat, 19 May 2007 19:51:34 -0400 McCallister's Deli http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/14277
Just wanted to let ya'll know that another Fayetteville eatery closed its doors overnight this past Friday. Hooters of Fayetteville goes away then this place called Onyx takes over the joint but never opens it's doors. First off, what is "Onyx?," Secondly, what happened to it? I saw all this remodeling going on and I even saw 2 days of activity as if it were a private grand opening or something of the kind......then nothing at all. Now it sits there with all the signs of a closed-up shop.
Wed, 15 Mar 2006 11:58:57 -0500 Racquetball Courts http://archive.thecitizen.com/node/4545
Does anyone know if there are racquetball courts anywhere in Fayette County?
