Oh scale,
Why do you lie?
I know you can't really
Count that high.

Your math is lacking,
Your face beveled,
Your dial needs tracking,

Jo Anne: Please let me know but ????

I really may be wrong but why are the (our) Fayette County tax dollars going for anything else but EDUCATION (Are we having to pay for the FCBOE's Home). Don't we pride ourselves on the education of our children? Was it the election - Obama does not know what he has got him self into? Did we do that wrong? I voted Republican. I stand by that. The State of Georgia voted Rebublican.

mark m: Sales tax wrong?

I read the Fortune 500 comprise 80% of our GDP alone. Seems to me placing a sales tax collector in each of these compan

hobnobbing: “The Life a House Built"

Kudos to the Carter family, friends and many volunteers involved with this PBS special aired last night depicting President Jimmy and First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s extraordinary 25-year involvement with Habitat for Humanity.

Fred Garvin: Obama's Economic 'Jolt' Has No Power

Bonkers: People without a job and a house

Will steal food, and things to convert to cash and even a car once in a while.

One in 7 or 8 of us will soon be without a job, it appears.

jdoe41: Don't buy Squat

‘Tis the season to start preparing taxes. During the presidential campaign we kept hearing about the failure of trickle down economics and how the wealthy (now defined as a household making over $150,000) don’t pay their fair share. And yet, when I sit down to do my taxes I must beg to differ. I pay more than my fair share. I also create jobs through consumption and save money so as not to burden my fellow citizen when I am of old age.

Bonkers: LIST OF BAILOUTS

First came the big banks and those who were trying to protect the big banks (AIG).

The Foreclosed homeowners were next, but that didn't work!

2008 FAYETTE CHILI COOK-OFF INVITATIONAL

Recently, I was selected as a judge for the 2008 Fayette Citizen Chili Cook-Off. It was a great honor to be able to participate in this prestigious event. Just to sit at the judges table with my fellow judges and be able to judge the Citizen Bloggers at their best was an extreme honor.

dollaradayandno...: Punishment for mistakes!

I guess that women and girls who have abortions after getting pregnant with a fetus they didn't want, are being threatened now with how they will suffer from mental poroblems in their future.

dollaradayandno...: The Great Depression of the 30s

Apparently there are few on here who know no more about the subject than what they read or from films they see.

I suppose the definition of a "depression" probably means we aren't there yet and most of the pundits say we won't get there---that we will buy our way out of it before it happens.

A terrific dog wandered onto our property today. He is a beagle (or a beagle mix) and he has a collar. His name tag indicates that his name is "Jake." There is a phone number.

mlc2028: PTC Post Office Automated Postal Machine

This is the classic definition of "nerve" although I'd rather use the term "ba**s" but i won't.

At about 1PM at the PTC post office I was second in line to use the automated postal machine. Then a lady walks in and stands with two christmas card envelopes off to my side but not in line.

muddle: Post-Abortion Syndrome?

muddle's picture

I've been asked to write a piece on abortion for a magazine with strong conservative leanings. One topic the editor has asked me to address is so-called "post-abortion syndrome." I'm reading much, pro and con, about whether there is such a thing and whether it should be a feature of the abortion debate.

Fred Garvin: Obama's Poet

Nitpickers: "CHANGE"

I sense a lot of people programs coming up soon!

All we get from the right wing is Bank and Finance and religion programs.

diva: To one of the greatest men I've ever known!

Ansley Horton was a living juxtaposition of opposites: Gentle, yet tough as nails. Quiet, yet able to fill a room with his presence. Intimidatingly confident, yet disarmingly calming. Ansley was a man's man; a Marine's Marine. He had a love for God, wife, children, family, and friends that seemed boundless.

Richard W. Cole: Cole Family Tree?
