I don’t actually remember meeting J.D. Moye – He was just kinda ‘there’ already. He lived across the road and a little bit uphill from us. Houses were not close together like in a subdivision. This was a farming community, and nearby houses were usually considered within ‘hollerin’ distance’. J.D. lived with his two old maid sisters who were schoolteachers. He was an embarrassment to them because he didn’t read or write so well, but he taught me more about life than all the teachers I ever had.

I remember German and Italian prisoners of war housed in certain locations in Pasadena, California. Of course we all remember the Japanese-American citizens who were 'housed' throughout our country. There are some states that would 'house' the 'gitmo' prisoners while they receive the American justice due them.

The AJC reported that hundreds of vacant, foreclosed buildings are causing a serious rat problem in Fulton & Dekalb Counties. Rats have taken up resident in vacant buildings. There are two kinds of rats in Georgia, the Norway Rat or Brown Sewer Rat and the Roof Rat aka the Black or Ship Rat. Health officials say no one knows how many rats are in Metro Atlanta. Rats multiply rapidly and cause serious health problems that can infect humans. These rats carry viruses that infect humans, causing fever, nausea, kidney problems, organ failure and even death. People can be infected by contact with rat urine, urine contaminated water or rat fleas. Exterminators can’t keep up with the problem.
