Senoia's Open Door Baptist presents The Perrys at January 6 Gospel Sing

Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia will present its first Gospel Sing of the new millennium on Thursday, Jan. 6, when it welcomes back The Perrys for another evening of Southern Gospel music.

The Perrys have been singing as a group for 29 years and consist of Tracy Stuffle, Libbi Perry Stuffle, Nicole Watts, David Hill and Dennis Horton.

“We're all different in our vocal styles,” says Tracy, but somehow we all come together, which has shown us that God can bring different styles together. We're a mixture of a little bit of everything and yet we're a `family' in unity that supports one another.”

The Perrys have made many personal appearances which include Opryland, Gospel Music Television (GMT), Gaither and Friends video series and many churches.

Their first number one song came in January 1998 with “Not Even A Stone.” The second followed in November of the same year with “By Faith I Can Touch Him Now,” which was the number one top single two months in a row. In the last year, the Perrys have accomplished a rare feat—two number one songs off the same album.

The performance at Open Door Baptist is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. A love offering will be accepted.

Open Door Baptist Church is at 7364 Ga. Hwy. 16 East in Senoia. For more information, contact Walt Bishop at 770-599-3193.
