Church seeks Venezuelan aid

Holy Trinity Catholic Church is appealing to local residents for help in disaster-torn Venezuela.

Relentless rains and resulting mud slides have left an estimated 5,000 dead, more thousands unaccounted for and more than 100,000 without home, food or shelter.

The church is providing a drop-off location for items needed in relief efforts.

Among the most needed items are bottled water, canned food, disposable diapers, summer clothing, blankets, medicines, first aid kits, tents, water filters, sleeping bags, portable gas stoves, dust masks and personal hygiene items.

Money donations also can be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church - Venezuelan Effort.

Drop off gifts to the church at 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, next door to McIntosh High School.

For information, phone Pedro Carrillo, 770-486-1393.
