Three men pled guilty last week in Fayette County Superior Court and received probated sentences on unrelated offenses, according to court documents.

Larry E. Lafferty of Peachtree City pled guilty Dec. 14 to one count of battery in connection with a July 17 incident where he hit Ryan Walker in the head with his fist.

Lafferty received 12 months probation, along with a $200 fine plus costs.

Ronald C. Cantrell of Tyrone pled guilty Friday to three counts of first-degree forgery. He wrote three checks totalling $220 at Jack's Market between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3 of this year, all on the account of Sharon Stephens.

Cantrell received five-year probated sentences for each count and must pay a $1,500 fine plus costs.

Travis Raftin of Peachtree City pled guilty Friday on a felony marijuana possession charge along with possession of a drug-related object.

The charges stem from a July 24 incident in which he was found with more than one ounce of marijuana and a set of hand scales to be used for weighing the drugs.

Raftin received a five-year probated sentence to a boot camp and was ordered to obtain his equivalency diploma. He also received a $500 fine plus costs.
