Three enter guilty

Three
men pled guilty last week in Fayette County
Superior Court and received probated sentences on
unrelated offenses, according to court documents.
Larry
E. Lafferty of Peachtree City pled guilty Dec. 14
to one count of battery in connection with a July
17 incident where he hit Ryan Walker in the head
with his fist.
Lafferty
received 12 months probation, along with a $200
fine plus costs.
Ronald
C. Cantrell of Tyrone pled guilty Friday to three
counts of first-degree forgery. He wrote three
checks totalling $220 at Jack's Market between
Aug. 30 and Sept. 3 of this year, all on the
account of Sharon Stephens.
Cantrell
received five-year probated sentences for each
count and must pay a $1,500 fine plus costs.
Travis
Raftin of Peachtree City pled guilty Friday on a
felony marijuana possession charge along with
possession of a drug-related object.
The
charges stem from a July 24 incident in which he
was found with more than one ounce of marijuana
and a set of hand scales to be used for weighing
the drugs.
Raftin
received a five-year probated sentence to a boot
camp and was ordered to obtain his equivalency
diploma. He also received a $500 fine plus costs.
