Two men are in
custody on weapons and drug charges after a
Saturday morning traffic stop in Fayetteville.
According to
reports, police pulled over a 1983 Oldsmobile 98
at Ga. Highway 85 and Pavilion Parkway for
weaving on the roadway. The driver, Anthony
Terrell Ellison, 31, of Shiloh was found to be
carrying a concealed handgun, police said.
The passenger,
18-year-old Tavara Jermaine Stanford of Shiloh,
was in possession of crack cocaine, police said.
Both were taken to the Fayette County Jail and
the car was impounded.

over the weekend include the following:
A Fayetteville man
was arrested after attempting to elude police
last Thursday afternoon.
According to
reports, a police officer traveling on East
Georgia Avenue noticed a 1993 Ford Thunderbird
moving into the wrong lane. When he turned around
to stop the car, the driver refused to pull over.
The suspect was
finally pulled over on Pine Circle. Anthony Wayne
Slonaker, 19, was charged with weaving on the
roadway, driving on a revoked license, and
fleeing and attempting to elude police. He was
taken to Fayette County Jail.
A man wanted by
Decatur police was found in Fayetteville Sunday
afternoon, police said.
An officer cruising
in the Fayette Pavilion saw a black man run
through the parking lot of Sports Authority and
quickly get into a car in the Marshall's parking
lot, according to reports.
The officer pulled
up to talk to the man due to his suspicious
activity and found an active warrant, which was
confirmed by Decatur police, for Sherland Dexter
James, 23, of Stone Mountain.
A routine stop for
a seatbelt violation turned up two men wanted in
other jurisdictions, according to Fayetteville
police.
A 1996 Honda Civic
was pulled over at Ga. Highway 85 and Banks Road
last Thursday afternoon. The driver, Jason Bryant
Worthan, 21, of Jonesboro, was arrested for
driving with a suspended license.
One of the
passengers, 31-year-old Donald Truman Starr of
Griffin, was charged with marijuana possession
and found to be wanted by another agency, police
said, as was 25-year-old Douglas William
Anderson, who was also charged with interference
with police.
A driver arrested
Sunday for no turn signal and possession of
marijuana.
A report Sunday of
a theft by shoplifting at Kroger.
A report Sunday of
harassing phone calls made to a Waffle House
employee.
A driver cited
Sunday for no insurance, driving while not
licensed and weaving on the roadway. The vehicle
was impounded.
A report Saturday
of an unknown person stealing a billfold at
Publix.
A report Friday of
a shoplifter taking $130 in groceries without
paying.
A driver arrested
Saturday for no tag and driving on a suspended
license.
A report Friday of
a shoplifting incident at Big Lots, where an
employee let a customer leave without paying.
A report Saturday
of a shoplifter at Wherehouse Music leaving
without paying.
A driver cited
Friday for driving on a suspended license and
having an expired tag. The vehicle was impounded.
A person found
Friday to be wanted by another agency.
A report Wednesday
of a known offender taking a wallet from a locker
room at a local high school.
An offender picked
up Friday in Spalding County on an outstanding
warrant from Fayetteville for failure to appear.
Two separate
reports Friday of entering an auto near Wal-Mart.
A driver arrested
Thursday for driving on a suspended license.
