Flat Creek Baptist offers Christmas Dessert Theater

Flat Creek Baptist Church will offer a Christmas Dessert Theater Saturday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 12 at the church. Performances will be at 6 p.m. both days. The Adult Choir will present “Christmas Classics” while the Youth Choir will present “Twas the Last Mailing Day Before Christmas.” Child care will be provided. Rolling Hills Baptist offers free gift wrapping

Rolling Hills Baptist Church is offering free gift wrapping services every Friday (6-9 p.m.) and Saturday (2-8 p.m.) before Christmas at Goody's store in the Fayette Pavilion. Wrapping is free, but customers need to provided their own boxes.

New Hadassah group plans Chanukah party

The Greater Atlanta Hadassah group is planning a Chanukah party and gift exchange on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 3-5 p.m at the Fayette Family YMCAin Fayetteville. The fee is $3 for undividuals and $6 for families. Reservations are required by Dec. 8. For directions and reservations, contact the Greater Atlanta Hadassah office at 404-256-5007.

Fayetteville 1st Baptist plans family concert

A Church Family Christmas Concert will be presented by the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. Churchwide fellowship will follow in the Fellowship hall.

Inman UMC plans Holiday Remembrance Service

Inman United Methodist Church will have a special Holiday Remembrance service on Monday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. to remember loved ones who have passed away. Candles will be lit to honor those loved ones. Providence UMC presents cantata this Sunday

Providence United Methodist Church will present its Christmas Cantata entitled “Mary, Did You Know?” this Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. The performance will include the adult choir and the full symphony orchestra.The public is invited to attend.

Zion Lutheran offers Parents' Night Out

Parent volunteers of Zion Lutheran Church in Newnan will offer a Parents' Night Out on Saturday, Dec. 11 with two shifts to choose from. Parents may choose to leave their children from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., or from 1-4 p.m. from 6-11 p.m., giving adults the opportunity to have some time for themselves while their children participate in age-appropriate activities and games. Snacks will be available for the children. Registration is required one week in advance and there is a fee of $5 per family to cover the cost of snacks.

In January, Parents' Night Out will be offered on Friday, Jan. 14 at a new time—6:30-10:30 p.m. The church is at 53 Country Club Rd. in Newnan. Parents who would like to register their children may call the church office at 770-253-2884.

River's Edge presents `Scrooge' Dec. 9-11

River's Edge Community Church will present its fourth annual performance of `Scrooge...A Christmas Miracle' on Dec. 9-11 Jesse McCorvey will once again portray Scrooge. This years's performance features a new format with new sets and new scenes for a different twist on the Charles Dickens' classic. Tickets are $2 and are available in the church foyer and before and after each worship service. This is a dessert theater.

Providence UMC to hold weight loss classes

The next session of Step Forward, a healthy life/foodplan that helps participants lose weight and feel better, will begin Jan. 5 at Providence UMC. Classes are held at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Marsha Wells at 770-487-1831.

Providence Walking Club (PWC), a spin-off of the Step Forward weight-loss class, will meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at the church gym from 9 to 10 a.m. to walk. Anyone is welcome to join the group. Members suggest participants wear walking shoes and bring a water bottle.
